On Wednesday November 10th 2021 the Brawley Cattle Call Mini Rodeo Committee put on their 38th annual Mini Rodeo at the Brawley Cattle Call Arena in Brawley Ca. “This is event is held annually for Special Needs and Senior Adults to view the live action excitement of the Rodeo without the large crowds and noise”, says Julie Reeves, Brawley Cattle Call Committee Representative. Students from schools throughout the Imperial Valley were bussed and shuttle to the Arena where they were able to spend time before the show talking to the student athletes/contestants and petting some of the horses. Students were seen cheering and laughing as the events had something for everybody including barrel racing and a one-legged sack race.
Angie Havens whose son, Brennon (a 16-year-old Junior from Central Union High School) has participated over the last 4 or 5 years has been involved in participating with nearly all events says that she feels honored to be out here to see the kids participate and put on a show for the fans and senior citizens.
VSN was invited to share in this special event and captured the excitement and enthusiasm of the crowd as they cheered on their favorite student riders from the Imperial Valley.
