Brawley defeats Calexico 36-8 in IVL OPENER…..Led by the field generalship of QB Rick Rubio and arsenal of running backs and receivers, Brawley raced out to a 28-0 lead after three quarters of play…. A fourth quarter pick six interception by CJ Garcia capped the scoring at 36 for the Wildcats before Calexico rebounded with a scoring drive and 2 point conversion to end the game 36-8 final…. A collaboration of standout players on both sides of the ball led to the Wildcats winning…. Offensively the Wildcats were led by Rubio, Ryan Rebollar, Diego Sandoval, and Jacob Lopez… the defense looking for a shutout were a gang tackling force that stymied the Bulldogs offense throughout the game that led to the victory… after starting out the season 0-4, Brawley is on a 2 game win streak (1-0) in the IVL, and 2-4 overall…. Calexico is 0-1 in league play and falls to 2-4 overall….🖋️Vic Carrillo 📸 John Moreno
