Central has won five straight. The Spartans added to their streak Friday with a 28–12 win over Rancho Christian. Coming out healthy was the biggest result as they prepare to start league play.
Coach Rookie Peña’s Spartans have allowed just 32 points over their last four games. Now they make the seven-mile bus ride to Shimamoto-Simpson Stadium to face Coach Shaw and the Imperial Tigers, who are coming off a bye. Imperial is led by Deren Hueso Jr. (RB/DB), averaging 139.3 per game.
It’s a can’t-miss matchup. VSN coverage starts at 6:45 p.m. with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
