Desert Mirage Rams Roll Past Calipatria, 40-6
The Desert Mirage Rams made the trip to Calipatria and came away with an impressive 40-6 victory over the Hornets, using a powerful ground game to set the tone early.
Desert Mirage raced out to a 21-0 first-quarter lead behind running back Alonso Hernandez-Garcia and never looked back. Alex Angulo and Gabriel Huante added scores, while QB Matthew Valdez’s ball handling kept the Hornets defense off balance throughout the night.
The Rams improve to 5-0-1, continuing the best start in program history. Head Coach Jesus Felipe spoke with VSN’s John Moreno about the new attitude surrounding Desert Mirage football and the excitement building around the program.
