The Southwest Eagles capitalized on multiple mistakes by the Kofa Kings which lead to defeating them by a large margin, 48-6 at Eagle Field in El Centro, CA on Saturday.
Senior running back Estevan McDonough was the star for the Eagles’ offense, having 2 rushing touchdowns in the game. Sophomore quarterback Logan Jungers also made key passes to add to the Eagles’ large lead.
While Kofa was riddled by a multitude of bad snaps all throughout the game, junior running back Bryce Konen was able to make a large gain of yardage on the ground count, scoring the Kings’ lone score of the game as well as their first touchdown since 2 seasons ago.
Southwest will look to keep the momentum going into next week when they travel to face a tough opponent in the Santa Fe Christian Eagles in Solana Beach.
